David Peck, 60, of Lower Burrell was sentenced to serve a maximum of five years behind bars, the mandatory term for multiple drunken-driving DUI offenses.

Peck was arrested March 4 by Arnold police after witnesses spotted him weaving on roadways and sideswiping at least one parked car. A motorist followed Peck and alerted police as she drove behind Peck through Arnold and New Kensington.

Police said Peck’s car eventually hit the vehicle whose driver had been monitoring his driving. Peck was arrested as he pulled into the driveway of his Lower Burrell home.

According to court records, Peck’s speech was slurred, and he failed field sobriety tests. His blood-alcohol level was found to be 0.215 percent, which is more than twice the limit at which a motorist in Pennsylvania is considered to be intoxicated.
