Charlie Dan Corlew, 41, of Cunningham, was driving south on Aug. 27 when he hit Alejandro A. Lara, 39, of Clarksville on Fort Campbell Boulevard, who was walking across the highway, according to a news release from Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Jim Knoll. This is Charlie’s Forth DUI Offense.
During the investigation by Officer John Reyes, Corlew says he drank around four to six hours before the accident. Also, alcohol was found inside of Corlew’s vehicle, Knoll said. Corlew’s blood-alcohol content was .15.
three times already. Corlew was charged with DUI on three other occasions: March 2008 in Rutherford County, September 1987 in Montgomery County, and November 2008 in Montgomery County.
